John McCain ☆ 08 ☆ Concession Speech 11/4/08
Presidential candidate Sen. John McCain conceded the presidential race before a crowd of supporters in Phoenix on Tuesday. He also congratulated Sen. Barack Obama. Here is a transcript:
Sen. John McCain concedes defeat in the presidential election to Barack Obama.
McCain: Thank you. Thank you, my friends. Thank you for coming here on this beautiful Arizona evening.
My friends, we have — we have come to the end of a long journey. The American people have spoken, and they have spoken clearly.
A little while ago, I had the honor of calling Sen. Barack Obama to congratulate him. Watch McCain’s speech »
To congratulate him on being elected the next president of the country that we both love.
In a contest as long and difficult as this campaign has been, his success alone commands my respect for his ability and perseverance. But that he managed to do so by inspiring the hopes of so many millions of Americans who had once wrongly believed that they had little at stake or little influence in the election of an American president is something I deeply admire and commend him for achieving.
This is an historic election, and I recognize the special significance it has for African-Americans and for the special pride that must be theirs tonight.

I love how the …
I love how the REDNECK REPUBLICANS boo at OBAMA, and in Obama’s speech they cheered for Sen Mccain, doesnt make sense to me, shows how low class republicans are. I liked Mccain a lot, he is very down to earth. I didnt vote for him or consider it because of Gov Palin, who is a white trash woman who her husband has never herd of a ing condom. Neither has the daughter, well w/e glad Obama won, but also I am proud of Mccain for having him as someone to lean on in times of war…

I commend Sen. …
I commend Sen. McCain for making a thoughtful, earnest, and respectful concession speech. While I side with Obama, I give Sen. McCain a great deal of respect, which he deserves.
On the other hand, it bugged me when the crowd booed at the mention of Obama. When Obama mentioned McCain in his speech, the crowd politely applauded. Now I understand it much easier to do when you are on the winning side of things, but still…

Punk, whites make …
Punk, whites make the differences in race an issue. They are the ones who always articulate some bogus world superiority, you ought to take a good look at the literature that is hammered out of the white community, time and again its shown to be racially bias. But you have the audacity to get upset and whine about some weak argument about how I’m supposedly “racist”. You need to go tell this to the originators of racism, your fellow white brethren. Then you’ll be doing us all a service.

I suspect that you …
I suspect that you could be white. I won’t take your word that you say your not. It seems that you can’t stand it when blacks ert themselves to making sure the white man is thrown off our backs and stays off. The white man isn’t superior and never has been, that’s my entire point to this issue. Blacks don’t want to rule over whites because we have no desire to. If that were true then you could whine “reverse racism”.

your just in …
your just in ignorant and think everybody thats not black is looking down on blacks. the little bubble your in is way bigger! preach unity or all or nothing! not just black this and white that and make one above another! that if you feel superior than another because of your skin! im not white or black and really it doesnt matter! all that matters is i feel we ALL are ONE!
January 11th, 2009 at 11:24 pm
yeah but you can …
yeah but you can comment racist about white people and say racist about white people and think its ok! that. once you believe every human is equal and alike and no-one is superior to each other than we can over come this racial hump. people like you spread hate and dont even realize it! and im not even white, you fool! take a look at yourself and what your saying and the people you read about a little closer. MLK does not promate hatred! why do you?

Your peoples …
Your peoples racists theories have failed. They were never true. You’ve never been better than blacks. This presidency have struck a resounding mortal blow to white supremacy. Now you punks will have to make up something else to justify your hate. You’ll never have the on-the-spot rule over blacks that your hypocritical founding foreskins had.

January 11th, 2009 at 11:24 pm
If a black is …
If a black is supposedly so inferior, and incapable of handling great responsiblity, and the brain of a black is said (by racists) to be smaller than a white man’s, and also unable to learn enough to be competent at anything, how is it then that Obama was able to win the presidency? According to all the racist literature that’s passed off as legitimate no black was ever supposed to achieve such as thing. According to you whites, this was an impossiblity. Explain that.

Not to be mean, but …
Not to be mean, but the only reason Obama got voted in was BECAUSE he was black.
If white Americans didn’t, America would be “racist” and “Bias”. Look at how much he has to hide. I can find what ever I want on McCain, but on Obama, all I know is he’s black… or is he?
Blacks, along with others, say they don’t want race to decide anything. Well, it decided the 2008 elections.
